ROOF REPLACEMENT

Roof replacement involves removing the old, worn-out roof and installing a new one to restore the structure’s safety, functionality, and appearance. It’s a significant project that typically includes the following steps:

  • Underlayment

  • Waterproofing Membrane

  • Roof Covering (Shingles, Tiles, or Metal)

  • Flashing

  • Ventilation Components

  1. Inspection and Evaluation: We assess the roof’s condition to determine whether replacement is necessary and identify any underlying issues, such as damaged decking or insulation.

  2. Removal of Old Roofing Materials: The existing shingles, underlayment, flashing, and other materials are stripped away to expose the roof decking.

  3. Repairs to Roof Decking: Any damaged areas of the decking are repaired or replaced to ensure a solid foundation for the new roof.

  4. Installation of New Underlayment: A water-resistant barrier, such as synthetic underlayment, is laid down to protect against moisture.

  5.

    1. Installation of Metal Drip Edge: Protectects the roof and the structure beneath it. It directs water away from the roof deck and fascia, preventing water from seeping under shingles and causing rot or mold

    2. New Roof Covering: Shingles, tiles, metal panels, or other chosen roofing materials are installed, starting at the base and working upward.

    3. Flashing and Ventilation: Flashing is added around chimneys, vents, and edges, while ventilation systems are checked or upgraded to improve airflow and energy efficiency.

    4. Final Clean-Up and Inspection: Debris is cleared, and the roof is inspected to ensure it meets quality standards and is ready to withstand weather conditions.

Roof replacement is often necessary when the roof has reached the end of its lifespan, sustained severe damage, or become inefficient. It improves the home’s safety, energy efficiency, and value. As always, we are here to help you in any way possible. Contact us for a free inspection.
